NTAC appoints Doctors.net.uk on engagement campaign
The NHS Technology Adoption Centre (NTAC) has appointed Doctors.net.uk, the largest and most active network of medical professionals in the UK, to help promote its next set of online
"How to why to Guides". NTAC seeks to generate engagement with clinicians and their managers and help them adopt innovative technologies that improve patient care and system efficiency in the NHS.
Margaret Parton, chief executive of NTAC, said: "We anticipate that this campaign will be very successful and provide a direct route to the guides for interested clinicians. The engagement programme will also include the establishment of new forums allowing doctors to network with each other about taking up and using particular innovative technologies."
Simon Grime, head of public sector for Doctors.net.uk, added: “Our appointment to this programme is a testament to Doctors.net.uk’s unique ability to engage large numbers of clinicians with information relevant to their practice. We believe this will give NTAC the edge in having their important work more fully understood.”
The next NTAC "How to why to Guide" is on the topic of Doppler Guided Minimally Invasive Intraoperative Fluid Management. This technology allows anaesthetists to address the challenge of hypovolaemia (a state of decreased blood volume) during major surgery, a key cause of post-operative complications and excess hospital stay for patients.
